He’s a respected judge for both the LA Spirits Competition and New Orleans Spirits Competition. Sother also teaches professional bartenders at the Bar Methods yearly retreat as well as teaching consumers a variety of cocktail and cooking techniques monthly in his online and in person class “Sother Hospitality”. He’s also a partner at monthly subscription cocktail box company Shaker & Spoon. His other accolades include, but aren’t limited to, Tales of The Cocktail Spirited Awards nominee for both Best American Bartender and Best Bar Mentor. Prior to joining Overthrow, Sother was renowned bartender around New York, and spent time as a professor at the New England Culinary Institute. He has worn many professional hats over the years, and now enjoys sharing his plethora of knowledge with both his fellow bartenders and the patrons who come from all over the world to drink with him at his bars and beyond.
